How Your Project Moves From Plans to a Complete Plug-&-Play System

The CCTV Design Consultant follows a streamlined, high-efficiency workflow built specifically for contractors, electricians, general contractors, and IT firms who need accurate designs, fast turnaround, and predictable results. This page walks you through every step of the process, from submitting your plans to receiving a fully configured, ready-to-install CCTV system.

Step One — Submit Floor Plans + Pay the Design Fee

• Upload your PDF, DWG, blueprint scans, renovation drawings, or architectural floor plans
• Pay the design fee based on the number of cameras required for your project
• Your project is immediately queued for engineering
• Work begins on Tuesday, continues through Thursday, with half-days on Wednesday and Friday
• Design turnaround begins only after both plans and payment are received

The design fee compensates for engineering, planning, modeling, and creating your complete CCTV design.

Step Two — Receive Your Full System Design Within 72 Hours

• You receive a fully engineered CCTV layout within 72 hours of acceptance
• Your design includes camera placement, lens recommendations, coverage mapping, network layout, and storage modeling
• You also receive a written explanation of the design logic
• Any needed adjustments or revisions can be requested at this stage

Your design is created by a professional CCTV Architect, not an automated tool or retail diagram.

​Step Three- Review & Approve the Final Markup

• Review your engineered layout and confirm coverage
• Finalize any changes before approval
• After approval, you choose whether to move forward with the complete equipment + preconfiguration package
• Only approved designs move to procurement and setup

This ensures your project meets expectations before material ordering begins.

Step Four — Purchase the Engineered Materials Package & Preconfiguration Package

• Once the engineered design is approved, you may proceed in one of the following ways:
• Option 1 — Purchase Equipment Only - You may purchase the complete engineered equipment package from us, including Security Cameras, NVR, PoE Switches, Cabling, and all hardware specified in the design. In this case, the design fee remains a paid professional service and is not credited. 

• Option 2 — Purchase Equipment + Preconfiguration (Recommended) - You may purchase both the complete engineered equipment package and the preconfiguration package. When both are purchased together, your original design fee is credited toward the equipment order.

 

• Example of Option 2 - $3500 Total Equipment Order - (minus) $695 Original Design Fee = $2805 Total Equipment Charge (these numbers are general numbers not used for actual representation of equipment or design fee)

 

• Preconfiguration ensures the system is built and programmed exactly as engineered, including IP addressing, firmware, recording parameters, and documentation. 
• All systems are built using NDAA-compliant hardware matched precisely to the approved design.

 

• The design fee is a non-refundable professional engineering fee and is credited only when both the engineered equipment package and the preconfiguration package are purchased together.

Step Five — Select Your Preconfiguration Options

• Preconfiguration prepares your entire system before it arrives
• Includes IP scheme programming, assignment of IP addresses, firmware updates, camera naming, storage configuration, recording optimization, and documentation
• Optional add-ons include user creation, PC software setup, and remote access preparation *for an additional fee

There are no refunds, credits, or discounts applied to preconfiguration fees, as they represent performed technical labor.

Step Six — Receive the $897 CCTV Architect Project Readiness Checklist (Only When Materials + Preconfiguration Are Purchased Together)

• Provided via email only to contractors who purchase equipment & preconfiguration
  
• Includes every tool, accessory, and consumable required for installation
  
• Helps contractors avoid forgotten items and expensive supply-house delays
  
• Covers testers, toners, RJ45 connectors, low-voltage rods, patch cables, ladders, screws, anchors, tape, service tools, and specialty items
  

This checklist saves time, reduces stress, and improves installation efficiency.

Step Seven — System Preconfiguration, Assembly, Labeling, and QA Testing

• Security Cameras are programmed and updated
  
• IP addresses are assigned and documented
  
• NVR is fully configured and optimized
  
• Settings are applied for recording, retention, and motion if required
  
• System undergoes QA testing to ensure communication and functionality
  
• All devices are labeled to match the engineered design
  

Your equipment arrives as a complete, ready-to-install kit.

Step Eight — Receive Your Complete Plug-And-Play CCTV System

• The entire system ships directly to your office or job site
  
• Everything is labeled, packaged, and documented according to the engineered plans
  
• Your installers simply mount the cameras, run the cable, and connect to the preconfigured NVR
  
• No troubleshooting or configuration is required
  

The result is a clean, predictable, high-quality installation every time.

Important Notes About Fees, Credits, and Refunds

• The design fee is credited back only when both the equipment package and the preconfiguration package are purchased
• The design fee is not refundable under any circumstances
• Preconfiguration fees are never discounted, refunded, or credited
• The $897 Project Readiness Checklist is provided only to customers who purchase equipment and preconfiguration together (ask about our Loyalty Program to get even bigger discounts than the design fee)
